Ghost in the Machine: The Poetry and Brief Life of Foxconn worker Xu Lizhi

Xu Lizhi was a worker at the Foxconn factory in Shenzhen who took his own life on 30th Sept 2014, the eve of China’s national day. He was a poet who had aspirations far beyond the factory floor. Upon his death, his writings were exposed. We have participated in translating the poems from Chinese to English and compiled them here as a zine. It includes reflections by those of us who live in the US, as an expression and intention for international solidarity.
